Dear Larrisa,
Thank you so much for your thoughts on this website and the articles I write! That made my day! I'm glad that you saw that I only have the best interest of artists and creative people in mind when I give my advice. I know college isn't for everyone, but seriously, if you don't have a good liberal arts education, how can you write and create and think and be a leader and a changer in this world, right?! Tell your teacher thanks for having the class read from my website, that also made my day! All my best to you, and keep on being the creative, insightful, lovely person you obviously are!

Your blog is amazing. My teacher introduced it to us and we were required to read your "Why Method Acting is Best for TV & Film" article. It really inspired my class. I also want to tell you that I think this post about choosing yes or no to college and I've always wanted to continue to post-secondary but in music and/or a language in New York. You definitely did not discourage me, in fact, you encouraged me to work harder in the entertainment field. I think it can apply if you want to be a music artist too. Just my thoughts...

Hi!

I just wanted to thank you so much; I love your website!

I know that the entire purpose of this article was to convince me to go to college. However, I KNOW that I won't be happy doing anything else in life outside of film making and acting, directing, producing, etc. I KNOW it. I am, however, not your average, ditzy teenager. I'll be a senior in high school next year and I've always been EXTREMELY bright and ahead of my time. I've always gotten straigh A's, I'm taking 4 Advanced Placement (college level) courses next year (European History, Literature, Economics, Government) and this past year, I took AP French, AP Language and Composition, and AP U.S. History. I've done all the steps all my life to make myself incredibly appealing to many, many colleges. I have wonderful SAT scores, I have teachers who love me writing me wonderful reccomendation letters ABOUT how brilliant and gifted and mature and worldly and cultured I am. Ever since I was little I have read like crazy, written poetry, watched movies, and done all sorts of artsy things. All my life, until recently, I was going to college. But now, I see no point! If I go to college, I will be in 100s of thousands of dollars of debt! Never mind graduate school! With that on my shoulders, I'll NEVER be able to make it in LA. I'll be in the hole if I go to college. So I have to ask you: how did you pay for your standard, 4-year college education and THEN go to LA? You make it seem like it was free :( And this will certainly NOT be the case for me.

So I guess what I'm looking for is some individualized advice.

Thank you so much!
